Grand Canyon

Hey ladies hope your weekend is going wonderfully!  I have been playing in my studio and organizing which seems to be taking forever!!  And have some fun planned for tomorrow, a simply stars team potluck and then it is club night with the girls!!  Yeah fun!  Today I thought I would share another MDS page with you.  If you haven't tried digital scrapbooking it is seriously amazing!  This is a page I made for mine and Melissa's trip to the Grand Canyon!  We went to Las Vegas a couple of years ago and had a blast.  My favourite part of the trip though was going to the Grand Canyon!!  It is soooo beautiful and breathtaking!  We had such a good time and an amazing experience there.  We took a small plane about an hour to the canyon from Vegas and then we got to take a helicopter down into the Grand Canyon.  It was spectacular, if you look at the pic closely of us in front of the helicopter my hair is standing on end lol!  I look like a troll!

After the helicopter we got to take a boat ride along the Colorado river.  If you get the chance to go, you definitely need to go!  Well have a great weekend ladies!  Thank you for stopping by!  XOXO!!

Strength and Hope #3

Hey ladies this is the third card of the strength and hope cards.  This one was isn't a traditional card and was inspired by a swap I got at convention by Karyn Hesler.  I love these, I think it is awesome to give a little note to someone and this is a super cute way to do it.  The colours for this card are melon mambo, crumb cake and a bit of soft suede and some pretty in pink ribbon.  Hope you like it!

Thank you everyone for stopping by!  XOXO!

MDS- My Little Girl!

Hey Ladies, today I thought I would show you a page I made in MDS (my digital studio)  a program that Stampin Up sells and it is fantastic and so easy to use!  This page started out as a sketch that my friend Heather Summers posted and it then became this.  It isnt' exactly the same as the sketch but that's why I love sketches.  They give you a good place to start and then poof the creativeness starts to flow!

This is my little Harley when she was 6 and 8 weeks old.  I just adore her soooo much she is soooo freakin cute lol!!!  This page was fun to make and of course I had to add some bling!  Hope you like it! XOXO!

Strength and Hope #2

Hello ladies, I wanted to take a quick moment to say a huge thank you for all of you who have stopped by and or left a comment on my blog!  I can't tell you how happy I am when I see that someone has taken the time to comment on something I have done.  I was worried I would have a blog and I would be the only one looking at it lol!!  So thank you sooooo much!!

Ok so onto the card, this card was another one that I made for my Strength and Hope class, like I said previously this set is quite versatile, even this card is, you could just replace the sentiment with whatever you would like instead of Amour, like friend, thanks, miss you and so on!  If you haven't noticed on my blog I am a vintage/pretty style of paper crafter it is hard for me to do cute, so if you like that style hopefully you will enjoy my blog.  This card was really quite simple except for the cutting of all the butterflies (my girls were tired of cutting out the butterflies by the end of the class lol).  It is basic black, brushed gold and the new specialty DSP called Mocha Morning.  I don't know if you can really tell in the picture but it has black flocking on the page it is beautiful paper!  Oh and one thing that I thought was fun was the pearls.  I seen on Stampin Connection someone had coloured their pearls with a sharpie, I found the sharpie was kind of gassy looking but with a permanent black marker I had black pearls!

I hope you like it!  After I was done all 5 cards for this class I showed them to Gord and he picked this one as his favourite.  I thought that was really sweet.  He always listens to me go on and on about my stamp stuff even though I know he could care less (like I do with his computers) but its always sweet when he says he likes them or that I've done a good job.  Lol I'm such a dork!  TTYS! XOXO!

Home Decor

Ok so today I am going to show you something I made for my craft room.  I love to make cards and scrapbook but I also love to decorate!  So why not create decor elements for my house with Stampin Up products!? I am sure this will be the first of many decorative pieces that I will post on my blog and I hope you like them and that maybe one will even inspire you to do the same!  This one was quite simple and very inexpensive.  Its a pen/tool holder.  I bought it a the dollarama, can I say I love dollarama!!  It is wood and what I did was simple I painted the top and bottom in black and then covered half with elegant eggplant card stock and the other half with the timeless portrait DSP and then to cover the seam of the papers I used the basic black satin ribbon covered it and attached a bow to it and THAT'S IT!!  It was super easy and I love it!  It matches the colours in my studio, shows off our wonderful product and it is useful!

I hope you like it and if you have any questions on this or any of my post feel free to ask!  Will be back tomorrow with another Strength and Hope card!  XOXO!

Strength and Hope #1

Hello ladies!  I have soooo got to get better at this whole blog thing!  Ok so the card I am going to show you today is made with the set in the summer mini called Strength and Hope.  It is a beautiful set and for every set that Stampin Up sells they donate $2 to breast cancer!  How amazing is that, you get a very pretty stamp set and support a good cause in the process!  So I thought this was great and also a great reason to have a class that featured this set, so that is exactly what I did!  So today I will show you the first of the cards.

This card was made with textured melon mambo cardstock and the flirtatious specialty DSP!  Love the colours!  Hope you like it and I promise I will be back soon with another post!  XOXO!
